Why I built FPS Tester
Hi, I'm Rakesh. Before this, I built Sound Tester, a small browser tool for checking your speakers and audio setup. While building and testing it, I kept running into the same frustration: pages stuttering, frames dropping, and no easy way to see what my browser was doing under load. That pain point is why FPS Tester exists. I built the tool I wished I'd had while working on that project, and it is still the one I reach for whenever a page starts misbehaving.

Use them for quick, repeatable comparisons: before and after a browser change, to confirm a monitor's real refresh rate, or to track your reaction-time trend over time.
What they're not
They are not a replacement for an in-game FPS overlay, a hardware certification tool, or a clinical reflex assessment. Browser rendering, operating-system scheduling, and display drivers sit between the page and the hardware, so treat results as useful estimates rather than lab-grade measurements.
